When I first started taking photos, in college, I had no children. I had fun taking photos of babies, but didn’t have a major personal connection to them.  Meaning, I thought they were adorable and sweet, but had never really walked day to day in the life of a baby.  Then, after a long journey, my best friend Rebecca had a baby. So I had a lot of fun capturing the first year of that sweet girl, Emma Jane. I have had the wonderful opportunity to photograph several children through their first year. It is my favorite thing to do, to look back and see how the child grew over the year but still managed to look like the same sweet baby (let’s be honest, a one year old is still a baby!)! Here are some photos of babies that just make me smile! I hope they make you smile too.
